I needed a jewelry workbench for my new hobby and was able to modify an old desk to suit my purposes. I replaced and raised the desk surface with maple plywood, created shelves underneath it, added a pegboard behind it, and permanently mounted a powerstrip to the top of the back. Fairly straightforward project, using entirely reclaimed wood except for the new plywood top.
