I really wanted a monitor riser that didn't look boring, fit the style of my house, and didn't cost a fortune. It was a fairly simple project and took me about 1 1/2 days to complete. With a little bit of effort, some basic skills, and a few tools, you can make one as well. So far, everyone that has seen it as asked where I purchased it and how much did it cost. When I tell them I made it and it cost me less than $20, since I found majority of the material I used in scrap.
