I've been fortunate through some misfortune. Having been out of work for some time, I began doing some things I love....wood working and small construction projects. My wife loves the old industrial carts people buy to use as coffee tables. At $300 for a vintage cart, I decided I could build one. I used 8" metal industrial wheels and metal corner brackets. These were all painted with satin black paint. My cart measures about 48" X 32". I assembled the deck with 4 2" X 8" and then the rails with 4 2" X 6". There are 2 2" X 4"s under each end, which the wheels are mounted to. I finished the cart in a dark walnut with a couple of coats of polyurethane. I assembled the wood pieces using pocket holes with pocket hole screws.
