I wanted to build something special for my first born child. My wife and I decided I should build a crib. After looking online for plans, my wife liked the built-in storage this plan offered. This was my first furniture piece. I did all the wood working and my wife and I did the staining. The only things I modified from the plan were I added connector bolts and threaded inserts so this crib could be disassembled, moved, and then easily re- assembled. I also built a raised platform so we could adjust the height of the mattress as needed….(sorry this was not shown in the photo)
The crib is made from red oak and is rock solid. My wife even climbed inside to test it out and to make sure it was strong enough. I loved every minute of this project. Let me know what you guys think and feel free to ask any questions.
