Home Bar

This was built for a friend who wanted to surprise her husband! She wanted a bar for their home that they could take with them when they move. She wanted it to be rustic/modern, a space for a mini fridge, dark stain. She sent me two pictures of two different style bars and I basically combined the look of both into one! This was such a fun project, staining maple was a task to say the least! Haha

  • What a fantastic design! How neat that you created this from two different looks. Your friend must have been thrilled! Thanks for sharing the during-construction pictures, too. It's awesome to see the progression.

    • Thank you! I need to get better at making actual plans of the project!

  • Any plans or did you wing it?

    • No we didn't have any plans, I just drew up a pic but you know how that goes.... Things always come up along the way! :)

  • Great job. I'd like to see how you handled the back side. If they use it for liquor storage, tiered shelves come in handy. I recently used maple ply on a couple projects but avoided staining them. You should be proud of this project as well as the sign and coasters.
