We removed some bunkbeds in a hall alcover to create a custom area. The wood rails from the bed were in decent shape and I hated to just trash them. I'm sort of a recycle and reuse gal. I stored them while we finished the custom area and went to work on building a bed for our four legged kid, Hobbes. The curved rail portion made a nice back which enabled me to stencil Hobbes name. The entire doggie bed is made from the recycled lumber. The paint and stencils were also leftover from another project. Only cost was a bottle of 99 cent craft white paint.

  • Bravo on being a recycle/reuse gal! Some of the best projects are done with reclaimed wood- and it's always nice when there's a story behind the material. This bed looks really nice- Hobbes is a lucky pup. Nice work!
