We transformed this damaged 1910's jazz piano into a hidden bar for our historic home. We dismantled it piece by piece, sanded and repainted using chalk paint, installed hidden shelves where the key hammers previously were, then put the whole thing back together. The top still comes off (original hinges) and the bottom cover is removable, giving us the option of having the entire piece look like it's piano origins (and be childproofed) or used as a serving bar.
