Harvest Table

My dad and I decided to build a harvest table using wood we salvaged from an old shed on his property. My dad and I have never had an opportunity to design and build a project together, so building this table that will be used in our family lake house for generations to come is very special to both of us. The wood we salvaged was in pretty rough shape and had been exposed to the elements for years, so collecting enough pieces of wood for the build was a challenge and it took lots of sanding! We had some difficulty with dad's old table saw, however we worked through the issues and built a beautiful table. This table and the memories we share from building are near and dear to both of us. Knowing that it will be used for generations to come make the table a real treasure

  • What a great project to work on together as a family. Those are the best kind of projects when you're building memories too! This really turned out beautifully, and even better that you built it out of salvaged wood. Congrats to you both on this terrific turnout!
