My inspiration for this project came from a few neat designs of shelves and coats racks that were made out of hammer heads and handles. I was able to acquire a collection of HART hickory framing hammers, which I cut into pieces at 45 degree angles to be used for the arms of the hat rack. The hammers are all mounted to the 4x4' post with double ended dowel screws. I stained the 4x4' and 2x4's to better match the natural hickory color of the hammers.

  • HMCSPAD, you're an outward thinker with an impressive hat collection. Pretty cool.
