My sister moved to Australia for medical school, and all of a sudden I found myself with a lot of time on my hands that needed to be filled. I had always wanted to build something so I decided now was the time. I bought some saws and a few other tools (all Ryobi of course), and found some plans I really liked. I had never built ANYTHING so this was going to be an adventure. I watched videos on how to use a nail gun, a circular saw and a table saw and I decided I was as ready as I was going to get. I was surprised at how quickly the project progressed, with just a few minor setbacks. You know, the usual board nailed upside down or backwards. I would rush home from work everyday to work on it, and spent two full weekends getting it all together. I was really excited and proud of the final outcome. I absolutely love the bed, and I absolutely loved building it! I am already looking for plans for a kitchen buffet, and wondering what other furniture I could replace with my own handiwork.
