I know, kind of an odd name, but that's what I was looking to make. I wanted to make a lamp that would cast a soft golden/yellowish color that would match the earth tone colors in my home, and wouldn't be too bright. I found an amber/gold colored light globe at Home Depot (on clearance!) and decided to build the lamp around that. I picked through their lumber until I found a piece of 1x6x8 with some nice wood grain then cut it into thin cross sections and built a 'cage' style box and a cradle to anchor the light globe. I got a candelabra lamp kit and a 60W LED bulb to finish the project. This turned out really nice and was a lot of fun to build.
