Geodesic Cat House

  • April 3, 2014

I adopted a stray cat, but since I'm allergic, she lives outside. In the Pacific Northwest it sometimes gets pretty cold during the winter. The last couple have been record breaking cold -- multiple nights below freezing, a couple nights between 0 degrees and maybe 8...

Faced with another winter approaching fast, I began to feel bad for my cat. I know she's survived many and that the cat species is very adaptable to living outside, even in the harshest of conditions, but I didn't want mine to suffer needlessly, shes pretty spoiled.

I didn't want to buy or build a normal box/house. I wanted something that looked cool. This was my attempt, based on the Geometric Doghouse at Homemade Modern -- http://homemade-modern.com/ep13-geometric-doghouse/.

Its not perfect, but Silky Smooth seems to like it just fine.
