Garage Planter

I removed a pair of overgrown evergreens from each side of my garage and needed something in its place. I also wanted to be able to re-route my gutters because they ran across the sidewalk into my landscaping, causing mulch to run down the driveway during heavy downpours. The planter box is made from a combination of pine and ash, stained gunstock brown. I put in a false bottom for the drain to run through, added liner and then filled with a combination of annuals and perennials. One side down, one to go.

  • This is such a clever idea! Great way to use that space and disguise the gutters!

  • Nice work.  The wrap around design is really cool and the finish looks great.

    • Thank you! Best of luck with your project. I’m finally getting around to finishing the planter for the other side of the garage this weekend.
