Recently I realized my floors were worn out. I wanted to replace them with something that is more up to date and durable. So in the living room I pulled up the carpet and pad, sanded, re-leveled, and re-sanded the sub floor. I then put down the under layment and laid down the laminate flooring throughout the room. After completing that job I tore up the kitchen floor which was made up of 3 layers of linoleum flooring and luan. Once that was done I prepared the sub-floor by patching nail holes and sealing the floor with a PVA primer. After laying out the tiles and cutting what needed to be cut I put the tiles down with a modified mortar and a few days later I grouted the floor, when I mixed the grout I used an additive that seals the grout and prevents staining and discoloring. I got to use several of my Ryobi 1+ tools with this long project with wonderful results.
