Rustic flag coffee table

I made the flag first and then built the table around it. My flags always have similar dimensions but never exactly the same. The flag size I used was 19 1/2x 37

  • Very cool! What did you use to stain it?

By RYOBI NATION, on February 6, 2018
    • I lightly used some grey stain on the “white” stripes and then the blue and red are both just acrylic satin indoor paint

    • Neat! It's great that you can still see the texture of the wood through the colored paint!

  • Very nice, but what types of stain?

    By Dms617, on February 6, 2018
    • The only stain was grey for the strips. The red and blue is actually acrylic paint. I just wiped it off after I put it on

  • This is so cool , I’d love to make one myself !

    • The best advice I can give is make the flag first and then build the table around the flag. Make sure all the boards for the flag are the same length. Not all of mine are and it made it a little tricky at the end. Thanks for the comment!

  • Nice build. Very Patriotic. Are the stars cut or vinyl?

By mrpip, on February 7, 2018
    • The stars are actually cut into the wood with a Dremel. I bought the template off of amazon for around $10

  • That’s what’s up! Awesome job!

  • Cool table. I want to do a Texas flag like that.

  • I like the “burned” look under the paint!

  • This is a beautiful piece!

  • Outstanding table! Did you use a star stencil pattern for the fifty stars on the blue field?

By GPaMike, on February 17, 2018
    • Yeah I did. The first flag I made I tried to do my own, didn’t turn out well.
