It was based off an actual fish I caught by enlarging that fish's shape a little (alot actually). I drilled the holes out with 2-1/8" bit with a 12" wide shelf at the head and a 4" wide shelf at the tail. I used 1/4" candlelite paneling for the sides. It keeps my poles tangle free and out of a basement/closet corner ready to use. Now that chore is done it's time to go fishing.
