My fireplace was old and out dated, so i decide to give it a face lift. I started by flush mounting a tv picture frame and finished it off with a mantle. I had a few bumps down the road (most older homes aren't straight or square). I learned that after wasting a few pieces of wood. But in the end i think it came out looking awesome.
