Faux reclaimed wood dining table

This "reclaimed" solid wood table and bench were made to be able to seat enough people for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners hosted at our new house. They were made with douglas fir and pine with black iron pipe accents. There is enough room to seat 8-10 people and is custom fit to our dining room. The table top is attached to the base with recessed "no show" bolts for easy mobility.

  • This turned out awesome! The industrial pipes give it a really cool modern feel. Did you use any tools or materials to rough up the wood for that reclaimed look?

    • Yes, I used an angle grinder, claw hammer, various nails and screws, bottle caps, and fish hooks to make the new wood look old. I did this before the final sanding and staining. I found the drywall screws make the best imprints after the staining and clear coat.
