FALL OASIS- Pergola Seating for Cookouts & Campfires!

When we bought this house it had an existing Pergola that was in need of some TLC. We considered tearing it down but decided we'd work on bringing it back to life. Fall is coming and this is the perfect space for roasting hot dogs and making S'mores!

So far we've enclosed the bottom with 4x4's to contain pea gravel, power washed the Pergola, stained the wood brown, added a firepit, painted the Adirondack chairs an orangish color, built a new swing and made this awesome attached table with stump stools.

  • I like the way you incorporated nature in the setup. I am sure the kids love to sit on the stump stools while they are served a meal at the table.

  • I bet you're glad you decided to restore it rather then tear it down!
By corlissestrada, on October 4, 2018

  • I love this so much
By KGriff, on October 5, 2018

  • That's great that it was sturdy still and could be made like new again. Actually even better then before with the addition.

  • Nice restoration, but how's the swinging bench holding up to the weight? Might want to add some additional support if you plan on using it alot.
By essemcee, on October 12, 2018
    • The bench swing is doing just great, no movement of the pergola structure from the swing at all.
By kellysryobi, on October 12, 2018 (edited)
    • Good thing; are those 6x6 beams horizontal and vertical? Thought it was just 2x6 holding up the swing at first glance...
