My wife and I are a young couple that are both inspired to have a farmhouse style home. I am an active duty member in the military and she is a teacher so with our time and budget I had to get creative on what to build to be the focal point of our living room and therefore I drew up the plans for our entertainment center. Everyone that has entered our home has had positive comments about all of my work in the house including the entertainment center. One of the major challenges I faced was figuring out how to mount our electric fireplace within the center to make it look like it is all one piece. I learned a lot from this project especially with building the cabinet doors for it, as far as figuring out the angles for the cuts and making the doors proportionate to fit the cabinet. I will definitely be applying what I learned about angle cuts to all of my future projects.
