I needed an economical way to store my DVD collection of over 6k videos. The idea was to save money and still get the quality needed to hold my collection. We used 2x4x8 for the sides and the shelves. We built the storage units 8'x38" with 8 shelves able to hold 130 DVDs per shelve.
