My wife and I had a cheap, metal, king bed frame for our master bedroom that we had bought when we built our home as a fast and inexpensive option for sleeping. We found out that was a terrible idea. After a few months, it started falling apart and squeaking.
So my wife had the idea of building a bed. I found Shanty2Chic's plans for the DIY Rustic Modern King Bed and brought it to life! Also seen in the pictures are the corbel lights that I made a while back using their plans as well.
NOTE: This was a fairly easy project for myself, using just a couple different hand tools. You will notice that under the "tools used" section, I only listed my Ryobi ONE+ Compound miter saw. Reason being, it's the only Ryobi tool I have! Which is why I am entering this contest. I'd like to replace all of my hand tools that are pretty much on their last life.
