DIY Industrial Floating Loft Beds

This project features stylistic touches of Industrial piping, a Nautical touch, and Pure-Bliss Farmhouse/Rustic, Dark Stained Wood. It's design and feel are that of both Kid-Friendly, and Parent-Approved, by floating these bad-boy bed frames into the studs with Lag Screws! These two loft beds make it perfect for the kid's bedrooms, freeing every inch of the room's floor space for their wondering imaginations, and a full space to play! I hope it inspires someone to take this project on, just like I did.

  • This definitely frees up space in the room! Did you come up with the designs yourself?

  • Hi RYOBI NATION,
Indeed it does! With this kind of space underneath, Nerf Gun walls & Hot Wheels wall on one, is going to be perfect too! I did come up with this design myself. I searched high and low for a Murphy's Wall Bed, but didn't find a solid way to do it. I came up with industrial pipe, went ahead and added the rope with the anchor. Both into the studs, which gave me the ability to "float" the bed frames. I added a storage stair case where I'll be able to add some of their toys, and games.
