Building a dining room table from a few pieces of wood was much easier than I expected! And it came out exactly as I imagined. Originally choose 1x6 for the table top but swapped it for 2x6 for a hardier look.

  • so the 4x4 legs tuck inside the 1x3 frame? did you have any cross bars supporting the 2x6s, or just the rectangular 1x3 frame supported the top? since the top shows no means of being affixed, did you countersink and fill or did you use L brackets from underneath? outstanding work, and I love the contrast!
