My Wife wanted a 10' Table, we check out some prices and they were not cheap. So she ask if I could build one. We check on legs and decided to make some I took some 4x4 and cut groves with Ryobi Table saw and came out looking good. After I had the bottom part of the table done and we decided what the top would be. My Wife came up with using shiplap boards and I had some old shiplap boards in the barn. I had to plane them down to clean the boards up and it made them look a lot better. The only problem I ran into was I did not check and made sure all the boards were the same thickness before I started putting them on and I had to take some back off and replane them to make sure the table top was even all the way across.

  • Excellent work on this. Your attention to detail is very evident- especially in the grooved legs. Your hard work also paid off in your planing job- the surface of this table looks amazing!
