SKILL
easy

This 2x2 Tree project puts a modern spin on holiday decorating. It’s easy to make with a few materials and repetitive steps. I like the natural wood look, but you can finish it off with paint or stain to keep with your style.

Tools

  • 18V ONE+ 7-1/4" Sliding Compound Miter Saw
  • 18V ONE+ 5" Random Orbit Sander
  • 18V ONE+ HP Brushless 1/2" Drill/Driver

Accessories

  • 31 PC. Drilling and Driving Accessory Kit

Materials

  • (18) 2x2's
  • 2-1/4 Screws
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Mini String Lights
  • Wood Stain

Steps

STEP 1

Cut 2x2s: cut the 2x2s using the miter saw. Cut the following lengths and quantities: Length x Quantity (48” x 1), (44” x 4), (40” x 4), (36” x 4) (32” x 8), (28” x 4), (24” x 12), (20” x 4), (16” x 16), (12” x 4), (8” x 20), (4” x 4.)

Paint or Stain (if desired) I like the natural raw wood, but this project would look great painted as well.
