Steps

STEP 1

Cut out all material using the Lumber & Sheet Cut Layout Guide. We recommend pre-sanding boards with a 60-grit sanding disc as needed during the cutting and assembly of project. This will remove any undesired rough areas on the case.

STEP 2

Cut pallet slats to 25” in length. Place pallet slats side by side until they measure approximately 30” tall.

STEP 3

Next, create a frame. Measure the height of the structure created in Step 2 and cut (2) frame boards to that length. Then cut (2) frame boards to 25” for the width. Attach frame boards with 2” brad nails.

STEP 4

Attach pallet slats with 1-1/4” brad nails.

STEP 5

Measure and mark (3) points on each end of the dart holder board. Use the measurements in the diagram and be sure to mark points on the 1-1/2” side of the board. Using a 3/32” drill bit, drill (6) holes 3/4" deep.

STEP 6

Install the dart holder board to the inside bottom of the case. Attach with 2” brad nails. Insert nails from the bottom.

STEP 7

Cut door slats to match the height of the case. Align door slats side by side to cover half of the width of the case. Repeat to create the 2nd door.

STEP 8

Cut door stiles to match the door widths. Place stiles on the front at the top and bottom. Attach stiles using 3/4” brad nails.

STEP 9

The actual door width will be 1/16” less than one half of the dart board case width. Mark on each door.

STEP 10

Set up a fence on the door and cut each one down to actual size.

STEP 11

Attach hinges to the case with screws approximately 3” from each end.

STEP 12

Align the top and bottom of the doors. Make sure there is a small gap between the doors when they are closed. Connect to the hinges.

STEP 13

Cut (1) slat down to 14” in length and sand smooth. Paint the top surface with chalk paint

STEP 14

Attach the score board to the inside of (1) door using 3/4” brad nails.

STEP 15

Sand and finish to your desire.

Install dart boards and add darts.
