Had a muddy patch next to my concrete patio. It was a mess and very ugly. Finally committed to build a 8' x 22' deck to make everything better.

  • I appreciate that! The cement patio was pre-existing. The stone pavers I placed to help the back yard, but it still just didn't quite make it feel like I wanted to be back there! I can't wait to add giant planters and benches!  I'll be sure to post those soon too. Thank you again.

  • I wanted add the lumber I used in case there is any curiosity. I used 22-2x6x8', 2-2x6x24' for stringers and frame, and 78-2x4x8' for the decking, and 1-4x4x6.

    • Thank you _Stephanie_. I did stain it as well, but there is no way to just simply add a picture to my post. Which would be a great idea for RYOBI Nation to do. It's a nice rustic gray look. And now we have a lot of plants around the corners. I'm happy it got done so early, before the good Summer weather.
