So, after attempting a coffered ceiling for the 1st time, in our dining room, I was emboldened to try it again in my daughter's bedroom. This time, instead of creating 9 squares in the ceiling, I decided to make 1 big square in the middle & build a coffer (not sure if that's what they're called) out from the middle of each side. This included scraping the popcorn ceiling smooth. I also put up wainscoting and built her a custom "Doll House" bookshelf as well. I preface this by saying that I have a full time job during the week, so this is my weekend warrior gig.

  • Awesome job. The soft blue/gray is beautiful. And props to you for scraping the popcorn ceiling! That's no easy task.
