Custom built dining table

  • September 30, 2016

I was asked to build and custom paint a dining table to match an old door that hangs in the dining area. This was my first table I designed and built without plans. I used inspiration from a picture. I stained, painted, and distressed the base and sealed it all with polyurethane. It turned out great and looks great in her space. This was my first time to build for someone else and I had a great time building it!

  • This looks stunning. The splash of color on the base is the best part! What paint/stain color is that?

    • Thanks! I think it turned out great! The stain is minwax dark walnut and the paint color is a sherwin Williams paint called jargon jade.

  • I stained the entire table and then painted the base and sanded to get the distressed look.
