TOOLS AND MATERIAL.
Used 1/2" MDF board
1" Nails
Small drill bit
RYOBI 10" table saw
1/2" foam
Custom fabric
A router etc.
Made a cardboard rendering of what I was going to be cutting out of MDF board. Once design was finalized began making measurements for my first cuts. Measured twice cut once! Started piecing bit by bit as I was making my cut once all cuts were made began test fitting pieces. Once all was good began drilling pilot holes for nails to help strengthen the structure. Once nails were in used gorilla glue around seems to seal the console together. Once structure was complete started marking measurements for rocker panel position and air gauge positions. Used a router to make cuts. Test fitted each piece until satisfied with end result. Began spray glueing console and foam to start prepping for fabric. Once foam was dry began preppping fabric to be glue to the foam. After fabric was Glued began cutting holes in fabric for rocker panel and air gauges. Began test fitting pieces to ensure a nice fit!
