This was a project made up for a 17y/o daughter of a close friend. It was built for her as a surprise, and her reaction was nothing less than appreciable shock. It was a challenging build to hide all the fasteners and still have the build be useful. The largest obstacle in the project was the application of the finish coat of high gloss epoxy. This finish is intended to be poured onto a surface such as a counter or table top, and is difficult to apply to vertical surfaces. I ended up having to rotate surfaces around to get them horizontal while still trying to match other previously finished surfaces.

    • The cedar was a veneer that covered the structural materials, hiding the screw heads.
