Corner Cupboard

My wife wanted a corner cupboard for the dining room so I built the one you see in the photograph. Fairly large project that required precise measurements and cutting. In the building process I used a circular saw for the large plywood sheets, drill for pre-drilling for screws, drilling pocket holes and inserting pocket hole screws. A jigsaw was used for the lower apron cut-out. Miter saw for cutting all pieces to their proper lengths. Lots of glue and sanding.

I filled the doors with granite stone I bought at my local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. They are glued and grouted into the doors. The cast iron hinges and closing device are purchased on the internet from a hardware store in Indiana.

However the wife chose the color of the corner cupboard which then clashed with the rest of the room and she wanted a new oak floor. So my $150 cupboard became a $1500 room.
