Container Garden - Extreme

We were looking for a easier way to manage our backyard garden. Each container holds approximately 15 gallons of water that is then wicked into the soil through 4" PVC in the center of the barrel. This makes it so that watering does not have to be done quite so often, making basic gardening fun instead of a chore. (center section built with landscape timbers is used for taller vegetables that can stand a little more drought)

  • Could you provide a drawing of how they are assembled? The description above is a bit lacking on detail. Thanks. Really like the idea.

  • Yes, I'd like to know how you wick the water into the soil.

  • I'm with the other two commenters, I'd like more details please. I'm in Central Texas and drought of lately has been an issue anything to reduce constant watering would be a blessing.
