Chicken Coop

We bought 7 chickens and I needed to build a coop for them! I scrounged around for as many second-hand materials as I could find to keep costs low. I ripped old decking into small strips for framing to keep it lighter-weight and cheaper. I bought used windows and found free pallets and plywood by dumpsters. I didn't have a plan drawn out and just started building one wall at a time and adding to it. The coop has a slanted roof, 3 windows, a large access door for cleaning, egg-hatch door and small guillotine-style door for them to come in/out as they please. The roof is slanted with corrugated metal sheeting. It was a big project and took a lot of time but at least the girls are safe and happy!
