Chevron Top Dining Table

  • July 3, 2015

I was inspired by Ana White's Providence Table plans. I adjusted the plans to make the table a bit smaller to better fit my dining area. I followed plans for the bottom part and did my own thing for the top. I always wanted to try building a chevron table top, so this was my chance. I used an OSB board as a base and created the chevron pattern using 1x4's. I speccially love the way the chevron design continues on the benches.
Since this was my first time working with a chevron pattern, I think I over complicated it by measuring the exact length of each piece before cutting. Next time I'll just follow a rough length and trim the excess when finished.
I thoroughly enjoyed building this table and I love the way it compliments my dining area! Can't wait to build another one!
