I started using RYOBI products ever since I converted from creating foam board characters to now creating characters made out of wood. My sister-in-law knows I've always been creative and she wanted me to create these life size wood characters for Halloween. I took the challenge because I have never worked with wood in the past and I thought it was a great idea. And as a token of gratitude she bought me my very first RYOBI 4.8AMP Motor Variable Speed JIG SAW. The materials I used are the following: 6ft x 4ft 1/2 inch Plywood, primer, paints, brushes, mask, sand paper, and a projector. Once I primer the wood then I project the image and after begin cutting the wood with the RYOBI JIGSAW. During the process I was brainstorming ideas on how to make the character stand on its own. At times it was a bit challenging because I could not find a proper mechanism to make them stand. After a few different methods I found the one that worked, I used a hinge in the back that you can open and close and I attached it with a chain to resist from falling. I worked on the project for weeks, once I was finally done the results were amazing. My sister-in-law was in awe and everyone loved the characters so much therefore sparking up a whole new hobby for me. I am still creating and finding new ways and new ideas to inspire and perfect my craft.
