Cedar Storage Shelving and Tool Rack

I was in the middle of a remodel and then I lost my job. I had taken out a loan to finish our remodel until two different contractors took off with our money. One contractor suggested cedar flooring and convinced me it was great for flooring, the samples he showed me were beautiful! Well long story short, don't buy cedar flooring, it's too soft. So I was stuck with over 1800 cedar boards and didn't have a clue what to do.
My husband is in the military so he was gone and I decided to buy some Ryobi tools and make cedar garage shelving.
When life hands you a house full of cedar boards you make shelving! No, I did not use nearly half the wood in my project, but I now know after taken on such a huge project for the very first time, I can do anything! This is the first thing I have ever built and I am excited to share with you how even a beginner can build what I did with just a few simple tools and no help.
I think the only challenges I faced was not enough room in my garage to move around in the beginning. It was jam packed with contractor left over junk and supplies. I couldn't walk in there.
What surprised me the most were the tools! I didn't want tools with air compressors, so instead I bought the airstrikes and they are amazing tools. My friends are impressed and now want them.
The reaction I get about the tools and my shelving project is pure astonishment. I just wish my husband could be here to see it in person!
What I learned and will apply to future projects is I can now build anything with the right tools and that's RYOBI TOOLS for me!
