I built this cedar planter for my mom, for Mother’s Day. It is the first build I have done completely on my own. I was inspired by a Shanty planter with the alternating wood pattern. I was also motivated to learn how to set up and use our Ryobi compound miter saw without the guidance of my husband. I added the wood burn quote to the front of the planter to personalize it. Now, I can’t wait to try more projects!

    • Thanks! I used  2, 1”x4”x8’ pieces of cedar. I cut 12, foot long pieces for the sides and 2, 11” pieces for the bottom.
