I was giving a few old display units from a fabric store and I turned one of them in to this cedar line chest with a little help from my father-in-law which was a nice time to bond with each other. I had to cut down the top of the display and then make the lid by routing out a little grove to place the piano hinge on. I cut and attached cedar boards to the right size and added some trim to cover the top edges.
