We decided to tackle our own Kitchen Renovation to save lots of $$. We went with butcher block counter tops that we were able to buy and form into our counter tops by forming them. We had to cut everything down to size, combine the pieces to make the corner and plan them and sand them to perfectly smooth. After that we stained and sealed them. We sealed them with Waterlox so we won't be using them to cut directly on. The most difficult part was cutting out the sink with the jigsaw, we made a guide to use with the jig saw so it would be easier to make the cut.
