This project used (4) 2x4s and anchored them to the studs inside the existing wall using pocket holes. The planks are (3) sheets of flooring underlayment cut in to 6” strips. We made the wall bump-out 3 1/2”. A finish nailer was used to attach the planks to the studs. Spacing was achieved using a couple of quarters. Corners were dressed up using corner trim. Behind the wall hides the TV mount, cable box, and power strip.
