I am a father with a one year old and after tripping over all of his toys for the past year I decided to build a bench to put all of his toys in. I originally was going to build a small storage chest, but I wanted to build a piece of furniture that would be functional and look good in our house. Therefore, I came up with the idea to build the bench (which we always need more seating when we have guests over), and the book shelves. The project was a lot more difficult than I initially thought and took countless hours, however it was worth it in the end.
