Some friends of the family inquired if I could build them a set of bookshelves for their living room and I can never say no to a project! Bookcases were built from birch plywood and hard maple and I sprayed the paint using an HVLP gun and compressor in my make-shift paint booth in the garage. I fluted the stiles of the bookcases using a router and added decorative baseboards and crown moulding to make the bookshelves look as if they were original to the house. A lot of firsts in this project as I've never sprayed paint through an HVLP gun before so there was quite the learning curve. My friends love the bookcases and, as you can tell, they've already filled it up!
