Best Kitchen Cabinet

  • November 2, 2016

Wife wanted a "rack" cabinet near the sink to put the plates and saucers in right after rinsing, so she wouldn't have to handle them twice. It has no bottom, to collect water and also saves space in the sink drainer. She loves it. Happy Wife, Happy Life.

  • Your design here is spot on. It's functional and appealing! Did you modify a cabinet space that was already there?

  • I like this and it's a great storage solution. So is it right over the sink to collect the dripping water? I see paper towels underneath. Some additional pictures would be helpful.

  • When I built the kitchen last year on a shoe-string budget, installed some used cabinets, but there was still a blank spot, never quite decided on how to fill it until recently. It is not directly over the sink. The sink is a corner sink, in front of the two windows in the corner of the kitchen. The few drops that my fall off of a wet dish, fall from the center of the plate, which is in front of the paper towel holder, hanging more towards the back of the cabinet. So the towels don't get wet. One interesting thing had to learn the hard way was to put a stop behind the saucer rack. First time I tested with a saucer, (before hanging) it when through and down the back of the cabinet!
