We built this accent wall in place of a headboard for our adjustable beds. We have two twin XL beds together for a king size bed and this was the best looking solution we could come up with instead of trying to make a conventional headboard work. The first step of the project is to find some good music to listen to while working. The next step is to cut the plywood to size, sand the edges of the plywood, then attach it to the wall studs with drywall or wood screws. The next step is to decide what kind of stagger you want for your rows of laminate, then cut the laminate to size with a chop saw. the final step is to attach the laminate to the plywood with wood glue, and a few brad nails in the grooves.
