Bear-of-a-wall Tear Down

After purchasing a new home with a sub-par kitchen and dining room, we were inspired to drop a wall in order to add much needed space and pizzazz. We were inspired by a friendly Tile-Shop with multiple displays of kitchens and decided to take on the challenging DIY project with all my handy Ryobi Tools. The project was tough but accomplish-able thanks to Ryobi. Stripping the wall to the studs, removing all electric, installing two temporary walls, constructing the beam, removing one of the temporary walls in order to get the beam in, re-building the temporary wall (hey, you learn from your mistakes), removing the load bearing wall (hoping it does not fall), installing the beam, and finishing work. Quite the project but 100% worth it. Everyone loves the look and talks about taking on a similar project in their home.
