Basement Workshop

Over the course of the winter (New England), I've managed to convert a quarter of our basement into a working workshop. I sealed the floor, shiplapped the ceiling, made a DIY lighting system (was poorly lit before), iron pipe wood holder, peg board shelving, and adapted a workbench plan from here. The color is a little off in the photos, it's more of a rustic brown with grey hints in it. I've included a pic of it in use building a crate I've previously posted on here.

  • The design of that lighting system is pretty cool! Looks like you've covered all your bases here!

    • Haha, nice pun Ryobi! It's an on-going project and hopefully I can take over another quarter of our basement! Have to wait for it to warm up for the garage makeover!

  • Very nice job using up your available space! I also enjoy the custom lighting you came up with. Having a backround in electrical, I really love seeing people getting creative with conduit. My old boss always used to say that we weren’t just electricians, but artists when hanging our conduit runs. Look forward to seeing your garage set up once completed.
