I am an average do-it-your-selfer around the house when my wife decided she wanted a nice bookcase for our home office. This is the first bookcase I have ever built and was built using the free "Kentwood Bookshelf" plans from ana-white.com. This bookshelf is very sturdy and was not that hard to build. Several people have commented about how nice it looks. This bookshelf was made of pine boards from Home Depot and stained in Minwax Special Walnut and Weathered Oak. The Ryobi hammer drill and impact driver in the P898N set I purchased and first used on this project made it go together much faster since I did not have to swap the drill bit each time. I highly recommend buying a Kreg Jig from Home Depot to help guide the drill as this project uses a significant amount of recessed attach points. Minwax wood conditioner is also a must on pine.
