These disgusting stink stairs have been staring at me for over a year- in 2013 they are getting take care of if it kills me!

I plan to rip up the carpet, repair and repaint the stairs, then stencil a film strip onto the front of each step because they lead down into our movie room.

  • We're right behind you on that one! Going to remove carpet from the stairs, and cover the tread with a modern rubber product. We the plan to do the risers with either the LVT we're using on the family room (basement) floor, or another decorative insert I found. All this because: 1)we have two big dogs. 2) We have dirty carpet that is very difficult to vacuum, even with our Dyson. Good luck and keep us posted!
